It was after midnight, her shivering kept her awake. She was cold. She kept staring at the window with the pulled back curtains. It was interesting to see how the sky's colour changed to a shade of indigo, and suddenly she realized… It was snowing.
It was her first time seeing snow falling. She couldn’t hold the happiness that devoured her shivering body and she just grabbed her coat and red hat… Opened the door quietly, avoiding waking up the neighbours, and ran into the small shared garden.
Then she stood still as one of the snow flakes settled on her cold nose, then her lips… She felt them landing and melting… She loved them.
It was her bare toes that begged and demanded the warmth of an indulging pair of socks and she had to oblige.
It was a warm memory, and one of her favourite things…
